Review – As a huge fan of Nicolas Cage I had to watch this sooner or later. It is easily the worst movie he has been in over the last 20 years. It is abysmal, even the few “Cagey” scenes can’t hope to save it. Nicole Kidman is also awful. The reliable Ben Mendelsohn is decent however. There are too many twists and fake outs and it’s just plain dull. I never knew a movie which is only an hour and a half long could be 30 minutes TOO long. What happened to you Joel Schumacher (Falling Down, 8mm)? Avoid.
