Review – Directed by the nicest man in Hollywood, Three Kings concerns a group of soldiers as they hunt for Saddam’s gold. The film is darkly funny and a hell of a lot cleverer than most war movies while also containing some creative action, a great soundtrack and a refreshing satirical edge. The cast all perform brilliantly, especially Wahlberg, who has rarely been better. The film is well directed by Russell, with more arty style than some of his more recent outings. If you can forget about the onset fights between Russell and everyone else, then Three Kings is a must watch.
