Title – Run All Night
Released – 2015
Director – Jaume Collet-Serra
Starring – Liam Neeson, Ed Harris, Joel Kinnaman, Common.
Review – Jaume Collet-Serra’s brilliant follow up to the equally-awesome Liam Neeson starring Non-Stop; Run All Night is a thrilling ride across New York as Neeson’s Jimmy Conlon vows to protect his son (Kinnaman) from the wrath of local mob boss, and Jimmy’s best friend, Shawn Maguire (Harris). Collet-Serra has made a name making impressive mid-budget thrillers and Run All Night impresses most with explosive direction and fun action set pieces. A fight between Jimmy and a hitman (Common) in the midst of a burning tenement building is a particular highlight. Run All Night isn’t especially deep but it is incredibly fun.
