Doctor Who – ‘Smile’ Review

‘Smile’ is this series’ required “companion goes to the future and sees that mankind was a bit shit” episode. But the episode doesn’t dwell on that.

Written by Frank Cotrell-Boyce, ‘Smile’ has some excellent character moments and a great sci-fi story.

100 Words or Less – Vengeance: A Love Story (2017)

Based on the book ‘Rape: A Love Story’ by Joyce Carol Oates, ‘Vengeance: A Love Story” (or just “Vengeance”) is half melodramatic TV movie and half pulpy revenge thriller.

But ALL Cage-tastic.

Logan (2017) Review

Wolverine and Wheels hit the road in this light-hearted story of friendship, family and moral fibre.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll no doubt want to curl up in bed afterwards and never come out because it’s that depressing. It’s also possibly the best X-Men film to date.

Free Fire (2017) Review and Q&A Thoughts

Free Fire is the latest film from British filmmaker Ben Wheatley (Kill List, High Rise). Set in 1970’s Boston, the film involves a a gun deal gone awry and the awesome gun fight that follows. Action-packed and darkly hilarious, the film has an excellent cast including Cillian Murphy, Michael Smiley, Armie Hammer, Brie Larson and Sharlto Copley.
