Perhaps not the most well-known hero in the DC Comics back catalogue, Mister Miracle (AKA Scott Free) is having a tough time of things at the moment.

Tom King and Mitch Gerads’ Eisner Award-winning ‘Mister Miracle’ is a realistic look at mental illness and emptiness, all set against the backdrop of Jack Kirby’s wacky Forth World.

What I’m Reading – ‘Batman Incorporated’ by Grant Morrison

Batman has gone global. After making a spectacular return from the dead, Bruce Wayne decided that there needs to be more than one Batman. In fact, he settles on there being a whole team of them, all over the world. Letting Dick Grayson continue as the caped crusader back home in Gotham, Bruce travels the globe, recruiting heroes who have all in some way been inspired by the bat. He trains them and gives them the resources they need to fight crime from their corner of the planet, as well as drafting them into his own Bat-Army.

What I’m Reading – ‘DCeased’ by Tom Taylor

DCeased is more than just a good title. It’s a story that offers us a new and often horrifying glimpse into the DC Universe, by ravaging the world with a deadly techno-virus. Imagine a zombie, but with powers of the Flash or Superman and you’re on the right lines.

Feeling more like an episode of Lost at it’s peak than The Walking Dead – ‘What Comes After’ delivers a thoughtful, emotional, and surreal ending for one of the greatest characters. We’ll miss you, Daito.
